We are seeking artists in celebration of tools and the importance of tools over the centuries prior to and including the industrial revolution.  See more on our blog - where there will be entries posted by artists all over the world.  Artists may submit images relating to our theme, the hammer, or nominate their own tool with supportive narrative as to why they chose the tool they did.

This Innovative project was initiated over lattes one morning with a group of like-minded engineers and project managers, regarding what tools they have found most useful in their respective industries.  The one tool we all agreed on was the hammer.

Why the Hammer?

WE HAVE NOMINATED THE HAMMER AS OUR CHOICE FOR TOOL OF THE CENTURY .
The hammer exemplifies a simple but extraordinary tool used for many platforms and across societies globally and historically. The hammer was an invention that started we believe in the stone age as a simple small hand-held boulder that was used to fracture such things as grains, hard casings on nuts, as well as bones of animals for marrow content. On top of which, modern science has improved on the hammer allowing much in the way of leverage, long-term use over decades and a myriad of uses.
And we are seeking submissions from artists on either the hammer, Or what tool you would personally nominate (but you need to include substantive reasons why).
All entries will be posted on our blog site, but only 15 spots are open for on-site exhibition to be held August xx, 2019
(Open Reception to be held that week) - September xx, 2019 at CI Works at 11 Chestnut street in Amesbury, MA. 01913.

To enter Email: arttechinnovation01@gmail.com put "Hammer" in subject line.

Cost per entry: $10 via donate button above.
